Blueseventy Canada – Warranty & Repair Policy

At Blueseventy Canada, we take pride in the quality of our products and the athletes who wear them. We know that wetsuits and swimwear are more than just gear — they’re part of your journey. If something goes wrong, we’re here to help.

Our warranty process is designed to be fair, transparent, and supportive. We’ll work with you to assess the issue and determine the best path forward — whether that’s a repair, replacement, or credit — depending on the nature of the claim.

Specific Warranty Details

Please read below for the specific details of what is covered under our warranty for the various types of products Blueseventy manufactures.

The Blueseventy warranty does not cover damage caused by normal wear & tear, improper care, misuse, accident, or neglect. Blueseventy retains the right to define normal wear and tear circumstances. Many of the Blueseventy products use high performance fabrics and materials that are delicate or easy to damage accidentally. We recommend carefully reviewing and following all fit and care instructions and taking care when using an item to avoid accidental damage.

WETSUITS

Your Blueseventy wetsuit is supported with a warranty on manufacturing and materials defects for one year from the date of purchase for the original owner when purchased from www.blueseventy.ca or an authorized Canadian reseller. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Manufacturing and materials defects typically include seam separations and stitching failures. Most other damage is not due to defect.

Blueseventy reserves the right to rule whether damage on a suit is a defect, or caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, accident or improper use/care. If an item is determined to fall under warranty coverage, we will repair the damage and return the suit to the customer. Warranty coverage is for repair only.

Common Damage Not Covered Under Warranty:

    • Tears or punctures or other damage in the neoprene, including:
      • Fingernail Punctures (fingernails can slice through the neoprene easily when suiting up)
      • Heel Tears (forcibly pulling your heel through the bottom of the leg when suiting up)
      • Accidental Rips or Tears, often caused by using too much force when pulling on a suit. Take your time and be careful.
      • Abrasion or scuffing, caused by the suit rubbing against another object.
      • Many rips, tears or punctures can be repaired with neoprene cement. For more extensive damage please contact us for repair options.
    • Prolonged chlorine exposure, or exposure to other harsh or abrasive substances (this can accelerate suit degradation)
    • Zipper Damage, including:
      • Zipper head detachment
      • Tooth breakage

These are always caused by excessive force on the zipper, please have a friend help you zip up.

    • Heat Damage, including glue failure or suit melting (do not leave your suit in the sun or in your car, even on mildly warm days)
    • Normal Wear & Tear, including:
      • Wear of screen printed elements
      • Rubbing or wear on the outer neoprene or inner jersey due to the velcro hooks rubbing against the suit during storage or transport
      • Wear / Fading on the colored neoprene (Blue Helix shoulders, Silver on the Thermal Reaction)
      • Seam Tape / Dot separation - these elements are added the help increase the strength of the seams and can come off with time. You can reattach these with neoprene cement.
      • Wear or thinning of the neoprene due to rubbing (for example if you walk far in your suit and your thighs rub together)
      • Excessive use - if you swim frequently, the suit will not last as long as someone who swims less and may be prone to damage sooner.
    • Use of the suit for activities other than swimming.
      • The warranty will be void is there is evidence of using the suit for anything other than surface swimming (fresh or salt water) or triathlon, aquathon, swimrun (for the Alliance) or other swim events.
      • Activities such as surfing, scuba diving, windsurfing, kite surfing, jetskiing, kayaking, etc can damage the wetsuit and are outside the intended use.
    • Use of Vaseline or other Oil Based lubricants
    • Improper storage or folding

SWIMSKINS

Your Blueseventy swimskin is supported with a 1-year warranty on manufacturing and materials defects for the original owner when purchased from www.blueseventy.ca or an authorized Canadian reseller. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.

Swimskins are a high performance racing garment made up of the finest Italian textile fabrics. They are delicate and frequency of use can shorten their lifespan. The swimskin is designed for competition, not training. The bonding of the suits will break down over time and use, and these should be used sparingly outside of race day.

The warranty on swimskins includes seam separation but NOT tearing and zipper failure.

Common Damage Not Covered Under Warranty:

    • Graphic peeling is a cosmetic issue and not a warranty fault.
    • Chlorine degredation, which can cause seam separation
    • Discoloration of the fabrics from sun or swim location (chlorine, lake algae, etc)

NERO Competition Swimwear

The NeroTX Line of Product has been discontinued and all units are "final sale".  These products included a 6 months warranty against manufacturing defect.  If you encouter an issue with a NeroTX product purchased through BLueseventy.ca within the first 6 months, please contact us at info@bluseventy.ca - all warranty enquiried will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

ALL OTHER PRODUCTS

(Training Swimwear, Triathlon Apparel, Goggle & Accessories)

Repair Services

All wetsuit tension tears and/or non-warranty damage to the suit MUST BE repaired before the suit arrives at Blueseventy.  Unrepaired wear and tear on a suit will void any potential warranty or will be repaired on a TIme & Material basis.

If your suit is outside warranty or the issue isn’t covered, we may still be able to help. We offer paid repair services for eligible items. If repair isn’t feasible, we may offer a purchase credit toward a replacement.

How to Start a Claim

To begin, please contact us at info@blueseventy.ca with the following:

  • Proof of purchase (receipt or invoice)
  • Clear photos of the issue/damage
  • Full front and back photo of the suit
  • Model and size of the wetsuit
  • Your height and weight

Warranty coverage is for repair only.  A replacement product will not be mailed unless the repair is deemed impossible.  This will only be determined by the repair facility in person.

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.  Please be sure to include your Blueseventy Canada order number in your inquiry or a copy of a receipt from an authorized dealer.

All potential warranty products must be mailed in for final determination.  No determination will be made on submitted images.

Your wetsuit MUST arrive back at Blueseventy washed, dry, and clean.  Any dirt or dampness present will void the warranty.

All wetsuit tension tears and/or non-warranty damage to the suit MUST BE repaired before the suit arrives at Blueseventy.  Unrepaired wear and tear on a suit will void any potential warranty or will be repaired on a Time & Material basis and be subject to additional charges.

Shipping Costs

If a return is required, customers are responsible for inbound shipping costs. If the claim is approved, Blueseventy Canada may cover the cost of return shipping back to you.  If the suit is returned for both warranty AND Time & Material repair, Blueseventy Canada will not cover the cost of shipping.

We strongly recommend that all items sent to Blueseventy are insured and have a tracking number. Blueseventy cannot accept responsibility for shipments that did not arrive or are damaged and uninsured.

Roles & Responsibilities

We believe in working together to ensure your gear performs at its best — and that includes knowing who to contact when something goes wrong.

Start with Your Point of Purchase

If you purchased your wetsuit or swimwear from a local retailer or online store, we ask that you contact them first for any warranty-related concerns. Your retailer knows both you and the product — and they’re in the best position to:

    • Assess the issue and determine next steps
    • Help with logistics, including suit return or temporary rental options
    • Offer guidance on proper care and maintenance
    • Educate you on how to spot early signs of wear or failure

Many retailers offer yearly inspections or maintenance services that can extend the life of your suit and help prevent small issues from becoming larger repairs.

If You Purchased from blueseventy.ca

If your purchase was made directly through blueseventy.ca, you can contact us at info@blueseventy.ca and we’ll assist you directly.

If You Can’t Reach Your Retailer

If you're unable or unwilling to contact your original retailer, you may reach out to us directly. We’ll do our best to help — but please note:

    • We can only assist with warranty repairs for products purchased through blueseventy.ca or an authorized Canadian retailer
    • A valid proof of purchase is required
    • Warranty coverage applies to the original owner only and is non-transferable

We’re here to support you!
