Wetsuit Surface Marks
Wetsuit Surface Marks – Important Information
All Blueseventy wetsuits are made from premium, high‑performance neoprene designed to be exceptionally flexible, buoyant, and comfortable. Because of the nature of this material, it is normal for new wetsuits to show visible surface marks when first removed from their packaging.
What Are Surface Marks?
Surface marks are cosmetic impressions that appear on the neoprene due to:
- factory folding and packaging
- compression inside the box
- contact with internal packaging materials
- pressure during shipping and storage
These marks may appear as:
- fold lines
- matte or shiny patches
- pressure indentations
- texture variations
Are These Marks Defects?
No. These marks are not manufacturing or material defects. They do not indicate weakness, damage, or premature wear.
Surface marks have zero impact on:
- performance
- buoyancy
- flexibility
- hydrodynamics
- durability
- seam integrity
Will the Marks Go Away?
Often, yes. With use, warmth, and proper storage, many marks soften or fade. Some may remain visible, but this is normal and does not affect performance.
Warranty Status
Because surface marks are a normal characteristic of high‑performance neoprene, they are not covered under warranty.
The Blueseventy warranty covers:
- seam failures
- bonding or lamination defects
- material defects not caused by handling
It does not cover:
- cosmetic surface marks
- packaging impressions
- normal neoprene texture variations
Why Exchanges Are Not Offered
All wetsuits — including Helix, Reaction, Fusion,Sprint, Glide and all other models — show some degree of cosmetic marking when new. Opening additional boxes will reveal similar variations, as this is inherent to the material.
How to Reduce the Appearance of Marks
- Remove the wetsuit from the box promptly
- Avoid folding or compressing the neoprene
- Store in a cool, dry place
Your Wetsuit Is Ready to Use
Surface marks are purely cosmetic and do not affect performance in any way. Your Blueseventy wetsuit is fully functional and ready for training and racing.
